New Product Fair
Background
The New Product Development Fair is the capstone activity in design for first year students in MMM. It offers a chance to integrate the work in design and operations, and to experience what it feels like to be in the trenches of a design organization. Students work in small teams on a common theme, but each team is free to investigate whatever product or service they like, within the broad theme identified for the year's class. Teams provide a formal presentation of their concept, including rationale, field reach, prototypes, and business analysis in a public display within the halls of Kellogg and in a short, Venture-Capital-like presentation to a panel of professional and academic judges, all leaders in the field of design, product innovation, or the domain areas of the projects.
