Ford Motor Company Engineering Design Center Dedicated
The Ford Motor Company Engineering Design Center was dedicated Thursday, October 6, 2005 opening the doors of a new state-of-the-art teaching facility, also home to the Master of Management and Manufacturing program. The vision of this MMM space is to provide students with a collaborative environment where the exchange of ideas and group work can flourish. This space includes a conference room, reservable student group rooms, and a furnished lounge all equipped with printers, phones, 3M Smart Boards, white boards, and wireless capabilities.
The Ford Center is the first University building built with the specific goal of being certified in environmental sustainability by the LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Green Building Rating System®. This building is a six-story, 84,000-square-foot facility. (October 2005)
